One of the most picturesque places at the Dalmation coast: Trogir is located about 20 km north of Split near the airport. The city center is on a small island, that's connected to the mainland with a small bridge. Another bridge leads you to the island of Čiovo, that's in front of Trogir. Because of the numerous monuments from all eras, Trogir is also called the “museum city”. It's quite and adventure to walk through the small alleys at noon or at night and watch the enormous walls, towers, churches and fresco’s or discover the old courtyards. After a visit to one of the numerous museums, treasuries, art collections and old libraries, the restaurants, bars, taverns and konoba’s inviste you for a visit. Right next to Trogir, on a mountain and just a few kilometers away is the village Seget, actually two villages – Seget Donji with its lovely rock and gravel beaches and Seget Gornji with its age-old stone houses.
